Date: May 30-31, 2007
Venue: Sta.Cruz, near Blumentritt area; Hall 1
There were 4 time slots in going out to preach the gospel. We were divided into 10 groups of 3 or 4 in each group. One of our objective in this activity is for the young people to be led to learn to preach the gospel, so that when they went back to school in June, they would be able to preach the gospel to their classmates or schoolmates. This is indeed a good start!
8 souls entered into God's kingdom! Hallelujah!
The door-knocking activity was a first time for many of the young people.
Even though many were scared and trembling inside and cold with fear at first, yet after knocking on a few doors, the Lord replaced their person. No longer they, but the Lord who's knocking on doors.
No longer do they cared for their own feelings, nor kept their face, nor notice anymore the heat as they walked from house to house, nor the perspiration running down their face, but they just go on knocking on doors to preach the gospel, to share to people "The Mystery of Human Life", and to usher them into God's kingdom.
It was truly a battle between the Lord and Satan.
Even though there were many doors that shut us out, that do not want to receive the gospel, yet the Lord still preserved a few whom He had chosen for Himself to let us in and receive Him. This is a work of faith.
The young people felt so much when the people doesn't welcome them inside their house to preach the gospel of the kingdom, that's how the Lord was treated too when He was on earth. Some received Him but others don't. And those that were religionist more so.
Besides, many were preoccupied with worldly things and cared only for the things of the present.
There were many cases too that there should be a number of baptisms but at the last minute, Satan hindered.
Oh, may the Lord bound the strong man! May You release them!
There were still some who'd said they wanted to be baptized soon. May the Lord preserve them.
The victory is won! Hallelujah!
1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
After the activity, the young people testified that even though some of them have never preached the gospel before, but because of this activity, they were now able to. And it is such a joyous matter to preach the gospel especially when they have companions.
